People

People is your contact book inside Stashii. Add contacts here so you can invite them to view shared files, collaborate on projects, or receive links by email.

Add a Contact

On web:

1. Open People from the sidebar.
2. Click New Contact.
3. Enter a first name, last name, and email address.
4. Optionally add a phone number or notes.
5. Click Save.

On mobile:

1. Tap the People tab in the bottom navigation.
2. Tap the + button in the header.
3. Enter a first name and last name.
4. Optionally upload an avatar photo.
5. Tap Add.

An email address is required if you want to send this person share invites.

Edit a Contact

On web:

1. Open People and click a contact.
2. Update any field — name, email, phone, or notes.
3. Save changes.

On mobile:

1. Tap a contact in the People list.
2. Edit the details you want to change.
3. Save.

Set a Contact Avatar

1. Open a contact's detail page.
2. Tap or click the avatar area.
3. Select an image from your device.
4. Confirm the upload.

Use Contacts for Sharing

When you share a file, folder, or collection with People:

1. Open the Share modal on any item.
2. Choose People.
3. Select one or more contacts from your list.
4. Send the invite — each contact receives an email with access instructions.

Contacts without an email address cannot receive invite emails.

People Detection

On Pro plans and above, Stashii can automatically detect faces in your uploaded photos and suggest matching contacts.

1. Go to Settings → People Detection (mobile) or Settings (web).
2. Enable the detection toggle.
3. As you upload photos, detected faces are suggested for tagging.

Find a Contact

On web:

1. Open People.
2. Use the search bar to filter by name.

On mobile:

1. Open the People tab.
2. Use the search bar at the top of the list.

Delete a Contact

On web:

1. Open the contact's detail page.
2. Click Delete.
3. Confirm.

On mobile:

1. Long-press the contact card.
2. Choose Delete.

Deleting a contact revokes any pending share invites sent to that person.
