Settings and Security
Settings lets you manage your profile, workspace, security, and account preferences across web and mobile.
Update Your Profile
On web:
- Open Settings → Account.
- Update your first name, last name, or profile photo.
- Save changes.
On mobile:
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Tap any field to edit your name or avatar.
- Save.
Change Your Email
- Open Settings → Account.
- Enter a new email address.
- Confirm the change — a verification email is sent to the new address.
- Click the link in the verification email to complete the update.
Change Your Password
- Open Settings → Account (or Security on mobile).
- Enter your current password.
- Enter and confirm your new password.
- Save.
Use a strong, unique password. Minimum length and complexity requirements apply.
Check Storage Usage
On web:
- Open Settings → Storage.
- See your current usage and plan limit as a visual bar.
On mobile:
- Open Settings → Data & Storage.
- View your usage summary.
If you are running low, delete unneeded files and [empty Trash](./trash.md) to reclaim space, or upgrade your plan.
Manage Tags
Tags help you organize and filter media across your Library.
On web:
- Open Settings → Tags.
- Click New Tag to create one.
- Rename or delete tags from the list.
On mobile:
- Open Settings → Tags.
- Add, rename, or delete tags.
Tags are workspace-wide — the same set is available everywhere in your Library.
Workspace Settings
- Open Settings → Workspace.
- View or edit your workspace name and preferences.
Team Management
Team settings are available on plans that support multiple members.
Roles:
| Role | Permissions |

| Admin | Full control over workspace settings, billing, team members, and all content |
| Member | Upload, organize, and manage media and projects |
| Viewer | Read-only access to workspace content |
Manage your team (web):
- Open Settings → Team.
- Invite new members by email.
- Assign or change roles.
- Remove members or manage pending invitations.
People Detection
Automatic face detection tags people in your uploaded photos (available on Pro and Studio plans).
On mobile:
- Open Settings → People Detection.
- Toggle detection on or off.
On web:
- Open Settings.
- Find the People Detection option and toggle it.
Notifications
On mobile only:
- Open Settings → Notifications.
- Configure push notification preferences for uploads, shares, and other activity.
Security (Mobile)
On mobile:
- Open Settings → Security.
- Enable biometric lock (Face ID / fingerprint) to protect the app.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication adds an extra security layer to your account. After entering your password, you'll also need a 6-digit code from an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy).
How to enable (web only):
- Open Settings → Security.
- Click Set up two-factor authentication.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
- Enter the 6-digit code to confirm setup.
How it works on mobile:
- Sign in with your email and password (or Google / Apple).
- If 2FA is enabled on your account, you'll see a verification screen.
- Open your authenticator app and enter the current 6-digit code.
- Tap Verify to complete sign-in.
2FA vs. biometric lock:
- 2FA protects your account login — it verifies your identity when signing in.
- Biometric lock protects the app on your device — it prevents others from opening the app after it's been backgrounded.
- They work independently. You can enable one, both, or neither.
Lost your authenticator device?
Contact support to have the 2FA factor removed from your account. You'll need to verify your identity.
Note: 2FA enrollment is currently available on web only. Mobile supports the verification step after enrollment.
Data Export
To export your account data, contact support. Data exports are handled on request.
Sign Out
On web:
- Click your avatar or profile in the top corner.
- Choose Sign Out.
On mobile:
- Open Settings.
- Tap Sign Out at the bottom of the settings list.
Delete Your Account
Account deletion is in the danger zone section of Settings.
- Open Settings → Account.
- Scroll to the danger zone.
- Choose Delete Account.
- Confirm.
How it works:
- Deletion is scheduled, not instant.
- You have 30 days to cancel by logging back in.
- After 30 days, your account and all data are permanently removed.
- Active subscriptions or pending shares may need to be resolved before scheduling.
